The Cull continues

Flames sent three more guys back to QC today according to Inside the Flames: Brett Sutter, Kyle Greentree and Matt Pelech. The last two hadn't played in awhile and Sutter drew in last night because Langkow was stricken with the flu. So no big surprises there.

That leaves the Flames with 29 players on the main roster, including such hopefuls as:

Backlund
Pardy
Prust
Armstrong
Keetley
Mcelhinney
Lundmark

I would say the most likely to stick with the team is Adam Pardy. Prust, despite his one-way contract, hasn't shown anything notable at all (shocking!). Armstrong is injured right now and will be sent back down when he's healthy. Backlund doesn't have it this year and will be going back to Sweden after Friday. Lundmark has steadily declined in effectiveness and will also be headed to the QC while Keetley and Mcelhinney are locked in a battle for the back-up position (I expect the latter to win out, although I wouldn't bet my genitals on it. Keetley has been solid).

If Pardy makes the parent club (all signs point to "yes") that means Warrener and Eriksson will have to be shipped out. Considering the trade market right now, I assume they'll be going to Moline as well. Celebrations all around if that happens, yes?
